Introduction to Workshops/Show & Tell/PAT Testing - 13/01/20

Our first meeting of 2020 was a social event where we were introduced to some of the up coming workshops being held by several of our own members. These include "Take Three Strips" with Eleanor Williams and "Scrappy Feathers" with Margaret Goodchild. 

Below is an example of what we will be making during Margaret's workshop in June.

We also held a Bring & Buy table to help raise funds for our chosen charity for 2020

The Essex Air Ambulance as well hosting our first Show & Tell session where members bring along some of their most recent work.

This included quilts for the Linus Project

 

Long overdue finishes to several WIP quilts. Some as old as 20 years (admit it we all have them!)

Large quilt projects. 

Smaller projects 

and items of clothing.

It seems our members have been busy over the Christmas break and their work was an inspiration to us all. Our next meeting is on Monday 20th January at 1pm and is a Stitch and Chat session which is an ideal opportunity to bring along a project (it doesn't have to be a quilt) and chat with friends.  

Visitors are always welcome at Stitch and Chat, there is a fee of £2.50 for non members.
